Introduction Euthanasia is a term that use in a medical field which mean “good killing”. Euthanasia defined as the intentional act of killing when the person in situation that he/she suffer from terminal illness. According to researcher there is an ethical dilemma about euthanasia and it may lead the health care providers to the risk of legal and ethical issues. Moreover, there are a debate between ethical and legal issues about euthanasia in some countries, it depends on the though and opinion on the religious, beliefs and personal morality. There are types of euthanasia according to the patients request and for the patient’s interest such as First, active euthanasia: it is an act that lead to the death of a person deliberately. For example; killing by a lethal injection or over dose of drugs. Second, passive euthanasia: it is an act when the patient death deliberately by withdrawing or withholding the treatment for the disease, so the patient will die naturally. This type of euthanasia it is some time been painful and it takes long time. For example; letting the patient alive die from their own disease by switching the life machine support, not giving the patient the drugs and etc. Third, voluntary euthanasia: it is an action when the killing person is deliberately with person consent and this person who wish to die are fully competent. For example: ask to stop the treatment, refuse to eat and ask for help with dying. Fourth, involuntary euthanasia: is the action of killing person without their consent. The patient may not want and chose to die or asked too. For example: patient with brain damage. The aim of this essay is to discuss about active voluntary euthanasia and to developed description of the topic including ideas with and against the topic using ethical theories ethical principles, and legal issues. Contention with euthanasia: Euthanasia is not legal. There are no legal rules says that euthanasia is permitted. However, some time in western countries (Netherland) they allow it only in special cases, when the patient suffer for long time. Ethically: according to teleology theory which means an action based on good or bad based on actual consequences, benefit or end result. Euthanasia is accepted because the end result is to prevent patient suffering which is the actual consequences is to do good more than the bad. All people should respect patient autonomy, it’s one of the ethical principle. Which autonomy mean “the freedom to make choices about issues that affect one’s own life”. (Burhardt& Nathaniel, 2008). The person must be respected, able to choose and decide his/her own goals and to act freely, to be autonomies. The people have the freedom to choose what they want. It is their own body. They have the right to choose when they want to end their suffer and die, as long as they don’t hurt anybody else. In addition, Beneficence which is another ethical principle, which means “positive actions to help others; to do good; to remove harm” (Beauchamp & Childress, 2009). Euthanasia is the perfect solution for patient to remove harm especially when the person is suffering from terminal illness for long period of time. Contention against euthanasia: Euthanasia is illegal it consider as act of killing, and it is a crime. In some countries the allow euthanasia only on some cases. Ethically: According to   Deontology

theory the euthanasia is wrong. Deontology theory is the wrong and the right depend on the nature of the act, rather than its consequences according to Kant. Which mean that the euthanasia is wrong rather than the reason to do it. According to ethical principle the nurses should treat all patient the same by justice. Justice is the right of patient to be treated justly, fairly, equally and appropriately” (Beauchamp & Childress, 2009). All patient are the same, all of them should have the same quality of care, no more or less. According to World Health Organization (WHO) they promote a palliative care for patient who have limit time to die. The goal of Palliative care is to take care for end life patient who are suffering and hopelessness.
