Assessment 2: Reflection on Clinical Practice and Submission of Clinical Portfolio Reflection on Clinical Practice. Weighting: Satisfactory/Unsatisfactory Word Count: 500 words Details From your Clinical Practice Unit (CPU) sessions, reflect on an event focusing on the administration of medications with reference to the three (3) components below 1. Your own performance (good or poor) with giving oral medications; 2. The good practice of another student administering either a subcutaneous or an intramuscular injection (choose one only) and 3. The poor practice of a student administering either a subcutaneous or an intramuscular injection (choose one only – NB the route must be different to your reflection on good practice in point 2). State how these three (3) events influenced your own performance with medication administration practice and state what you have learned from these events. Please Note: Your reflection paper must include all three routes of administration (i.e. oral, subcutaneous and intramuscular injections).

ASSIGNMENT 2

Discuss the arguments for and against the use of vaccination for the prevention of spread of an infectious virus or disease. For example, you may choose to discuss the evidence for influenza vaccines, HPV vaccine for boys or girls or the MMR vaccine. You should present the case both for and against the use of vaccines within your chosen topic and, in summary, present your view based on your critical appraisal of the evidence. Your Assignment should be 2500 words in length appropriately referenced using the Harvard Reference Style. Harvard Reference Style Scientific Nomenclature- Throughout your assignment writing you should pay attention to the academic writing conventions associated with the classification and taxonomy of viruses and bacteria.
