Design an experiment that identifies

Design an experiment that identifies whether or not the modulation of one loop in the basal ganglia can influence the outputs in other loops in a systematic fashion? For example: focus on the associative and the limbic loop and how they integrate and what happens to them? ** the loops that need to be focussed on are provided below and can be found in Joel D (2001) article linked below if further understanding is required. • The experiment need to include experiments that were described in the articles below for instance: do a lesion in a particular area of the brain that is to do with the associative loop and then do optogenetic testing or open field testing to determine the outcomes of it. • Include limitations and advantages of the designed experiment • Also, have concluding sentences on if this designed experiment supported or not supported Joel’s theory about the 3 loops (motor, associative and limbic) being interconnected. ( This theory is further explained in this article) (2) Joel D (2001) Open Interconnected Model of Basal Ganglia-Thalamocortical Circuitry and Its Relevance to the Clinical Syndrome of Huntington’s Disease. Movement disorders. 16, 407.
